This is a very slowly growing species. Generally solitary but old specimens may cluster from the base. Flowers: 4-5 cm long and 4 cm broad, white with pink to brownish-red throat. Blooming time: Profuse flowers from late spring to summer. Cultivation and propagation: It is a summer grower species that offers no cultivation difficulties. Water regularly in summer (but do not overwater), keep rather dry in winter. It is quite frost resistant if kept dry (hardy to -5° C) Sun exposure: light shade.
