American White Bresse Chicks

The Bresse Chicken has won the badge of "Worlds Best Tasting Chicken"! The American White Bresse (rhymes with bless) was imported from France in 2011, and is a rare breed dual purpose bird. The ultimate homestead bird, the AWB lays 150- 275 large, cream colored eggs a year! They are heat and cold tolerant, and very easy to care for. These birds are highly sought after and we are so proud to be offering them!   This last year ours finished out at between 4 and 7 pounds dressed weight! (hens vs roos). American Bresse are known to be able during the fattening process to produce a marbling effect just like beef, when using traditional french methods of raising them,  providing them access to pasture, and finishing them on organic grains and dairy products.
