Burgundy truffle is very similar to summer truffle, almost chocolaty in the more mature truffles. The surface is rugged. Fun fact: this truffle takes its name from the hook-shaped crests of its spores. Widely used, burgundy truffles are known and appreciated around the world. The picking season goes from September to December. Burgundy is excellent when it is fully ripe and the traditional sauce is obtained by adding it to olive oil (hot but not boiling), a touch of garlic, salt and pepper. This preparation is great for bruschetta, pasta, meat and fish. You can also try it sliced on salads. 1oz of product is recommended for each portion.
