Japanese Copper Double Prong Quick Release Belt
Japanese copper is BACK! ..and extremely limited. When this batch sells out, re-stock will be in 2026.Again, like the sterling silver hardware, my manufacturer in Japan had to utilize an age-old casting technique called "lost wax casting" which is a fascinating method that utilizes wax to create a temporary mold, and then the wax is essentially destroyed or "lost" after a casing is formed around it and it is melted to make room for the metal to be poured in. Due to this laborious method of manufacturing, it is significantly more expensive to manufacture this hardware than the brass version. It is for this reason that copper inventory is limited and not regularly stocked. Copper is a softer metal than brass, therefore any negligent use of the belt that ends in bent metal, will not be covered under my lifetime warranty. The buckle and keeper are both cast in solid raw copper that I have hand polished to a dull sheen. You can count on this metal to develop a gorgeous patina over time. The
