Recently sold out in 750mL format, this magnum is the only way to experience this vintage blend. Appellation:      100% Napa Valley Varietal:            36% Cabernet Sauvignon – 36% Cabernet Franc - 28% Merlot Alcohol:           14.2 %  Tasting Note:    In building this blend I varied from my earlier tradition of the Padlock being driven by Merlot and found a more equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Cabernet Franc to power away as the strongest representation of the vintage. Ready to enjoy today but with life ahead of it to enjoy in the years to come. Dark garnet color, exuberant nose of fresh blueberries and cassis with hints of cappuccino aromas. In the palate, Padlock opens up on more dark fruits with seductive truffle and garrigue notes. The texture is rich and intricate, the tannins are firms. Padlock 2016 is bigger than any of its predecessor because the blend is a bit different but it remains a well-balanced and elegant wine. Enjoy the lengthy and sexy finish!  Ferme
