A spy I am, in shadows I reside, Watching from afar, my love beside. I see her every move, her every breath, And yet I remain, a spy in death. I know her secrets, her every thought, A world within her, that she has wrought. And though I watch her, from a distance so near, My love for her, remains so dear. But I am bound, by duty and by oath, A spy I am, with a heart that's broke. For though I love her, with every beat, I can never reveal, what's beneath my deceit. And so I watch her, from the shadows I call, A silent witness, to her rise and fall. For though my love, is a fire so bright, It can never be, in this cloak of night.   About The Canvas
