This is a wonderfully "imperfect", charming copper kettle, handmade in Egypt. On both sides there is a glazed turquoise scarab beetle. The scarab beetle was a symbol of death and rebirth in ancient Egypt. (While it is impossible to prove, due to the mass quantities of scarabs made in ancient Egyptian that have survived, it is possible the copper worker used genuinely ancient scarabs.) Size: 8" high x 6" wide x 3" deep Condition: Antique
