How Trimec Southern Works Trimec uses a combination of ingredients to provide broad-spectrum control of various weeds on warm-season grasses. In fact, it contains three ingredients to deliver optimal results: 2,4-D, dimethylamine salt of propionic acid and dicamba. These ingredients work together to eliminate numerous weed species without negatively affecting the surrounding turfgrass.
