This cluster is a unique amethyst formation known as an amethyst flower cluster from Morocco. It features beautiful round stalactites of crystalline amethyst, and a rough, organic shape. The color of the crystals is a pale lilac purple. This very large and substantial specimen is shaped like a cone, with a unique funnel shaped matrix that makes it ideal for a shelf display. This piece would be an excellent large display specimen, and is also suitable for meditation and gridding. Beautiful and unusual! Amethyst forms in a multitude of habits, from the classic Brazilian cluster to single crystals from Vera Cruz, Mexico. These clusters are amethyst flower clusters from Morocco. The flower name refers to the stalactite growths that dominate the cluster, and the clusters often include red color is a result of inclusions of phantom inclusions of iron-rich hematite.
