Amethyst DT Scepter Smoky Elestial Red Hematite Needles Purple Crystal Rocks and Mineral Mineral Specimen Cluster Chibuku Zimbabwe
This little beauty is a unique example of hematite included amethyst, from Zimbabwe! It is a natural crystal cluster, elestiated with multiple terminations, with a tiny scepter base on the back. Inclusions are as varied as phantoms, smoky shades, and red "harlequin" hematite needles. This cluster is double terminated and has a dynamic habit, with natural features preserved. Chibuku amethyst has a similar formation to the Brandberg amethyst found in Namibia, but it is from 2,000 miles away!) This aesthetic cluster features beautiful formation, exceptional interior landscape, and a lovely rich smoky purple shade. (As an unpolished piece, it has minor abrasions and inclusions, which do not lessen it's beauty.) It looks especially beautiful when backlit, as shown here. Chibuku Mine amethyst rivals the quality of some of the most highly prized amethyst varieties in the world, but since it is a new find (less than 2 years old), pieces can be had for a great price. This uniquely formed cluster would make a perfect display specimen or meditation aid--it would also make a wonderful jewelry focal! Locality: Chibuku Mine, Zambezi Valley, Zimbabwe. Dimensions: 2.06” x 1.00” x 0.75” (53mm x 26mm x 19mm) Weight: 35 g (1.24 oz) Quartz is composed of silicon dioxide, and is one of the most abundant minerals on the planet. It is found in a multitude of colors, growth habits, and localities. Quartz may also host a huge variety of different included minerals. Amethyst is the purple variety of Quartz; its color is a result of iron and other trace minerals. Scepter growth resembles a king’s scepter—the formation is formed by a thinner base with terminates in a larger crystal point at the tip. Healing Properties: Amethyst is one of the earliest used stones for healing purposes--it has long been believed to protect and purify, connecting us to spiritual guides and releasing negative habits. *Though many gems and minerals have historical and cultural associations with healing properties, these items are sold for display, study, and collector interest only.
