Most clothes dryer manufacturers recommend UL 2158A-certified semi-rigid ducts. The transition duct is for new and replacement clothes dryer installations. The semi-rigid duct is flexible; the corrugations throughout prevent collapsing and allow for easy duct bending when needed. Aluminum is corrosion-resistant, non-combustible, and flame-resistant, with a maximum operating temperature of 600°F. When installing the duct, you can cut it to length to allow for stretching for maximum airflow.
