If garments are going to be washed with washer/dryer, patches should be reinforced on garment with stitching. If garments, like hats get hand-washed or washed in dish washer, the adhesive behind the patch will hold up for a few washes. You can also get clear or white htv adhesive to strengthen the bond between patch and garment.
