Final Sale: No returns, exchanges or further discounts. --- SKU #15415 Artist: Sangani Oshweetok Cape Dorset, Canada  Carved Serpentinite H8.5" x W5.5" x D3" Owl and Chick 38-1223743 Signed by Artist --- Sangani Osuitok (Sanagani Oshweetok) was born in Cape Dorset in 1961, and has lived there all his life.  He was raised in a family of Cape Dorset artists.  His father Ipeelee and brother Tuqiqi are well known carvers, as was his mother, the late Nipisha Osuitok.   Sangani began carving around 1967, and can recall selling his first piece to Terry Ryan of the Cape Dorset Co-op.  He has said that he enjoys carving, and although he is self-taught, he has also learned a lot by watching his father.
