Mid 19th Century Orientalist Bronze Mounted Siena Marble Mantle Clock, France. The classically robed maiden wearing an intricately detailed turban and holding a pen, while leaning on a block form pedestal draped with a shawl behind two lidded inkpots, above a curling foliate detailed bezel framing reed and ball trim enclosing a circular gilt dial with black Roman chapters, enclosing Breguet gilt steel hands and twin key escapements, reversing to brass eight-day clockworks marked "Denière Paris," over a bronze leaf tip banded base on a rectangular plinth mounted with a gilt slipper resting on a tasseled pillow, above stylized scrolling acanthus leaf mounted corners and a frieze of guilloche paterae, over a fluted cavetto and raised on corner curling acanthine cast feet joined by an apron of continuous leaf tips.
