The dCS Vivaldi Apex DAC is an advanced digital-to-analog converter with proprietary Ring DAC APEX architecture. This design improves upon its predecessor with significant linearity and noise reduction advancements. The new analog output stage and an upgraded power supply enable more precise and dynamic sound reproduction. The Ring DAC's enhanced circuit board layout reduces harmonic distortion and further isolates the summing stage to ensure better sound performance across diverse systems and setup. Compared to earlier models, the Vivaldi Apex offers a 12dB improvement in linearity and a more refined analog stage. This results in a lower noise floor, improved timbral accuracy, and a richer, more detailed soundstage.
