Antique Replacement Bolts for Wood Bed Frames 6" Steel Bed Bolts commonly seen on antique rope beds, securely connect side rails to head/foot boards. Tendon end of side-rail slips into mortise-cut in bed-post. Once in place, bed bolt draws wood bed-post and side-rail tightly together producing a strong rigid joint. These steel bolts with nut are strong. They have a standard 3/8"- 16 thread. However, some vintage beds have odd thread sizes, if different, nut in side-rail will need to be replaced.
