In ancient times, Egyptian priests adorned themselves with it and Minoans carved seals from it. While jasper is easier to find today, it was once considered a valuable stone. Zebra jasper takes it's name from the black banding over the white stone which gives it the appearance of it's namesake. The can be found in Africa, Russia and India. This stone has a trigonal crystal structure, is opaque and polishes up nicely! According to Metaphysics: Zebra jasper  can motivate us to move out of apathy and take action.
