It is confirmed to have eaten dinosaurs, with evidence found in the metatarsal (foot bone) of a hadrosaurid containing a Squalicorax tooth. The prevailing belief is that the dinosaur was washed out to sea and scavenged by a Squalicorax that likely detected its scent in the water.
