This design started with an exquisite piece of Venice lace applique that I hand beaded with black, hematite, silver and deep red tiny glass seed beads.  Next incorporating shimmering fire polish crystals in the same color families to create the floral details.  Allowing the lace to guide me with the design, I added little metal coils to add texture and interest to the bib necklace.  All these details lead up to the center focal cabochon, a beautiful arrowhead hematite gemstone.
