Ristras are a common site in New Mexico. They consist of several Chiles strung together. They can be stored this way for future consumption. They are also used as decor. I am often asked what is the symbolism of a Ristra. Beyond storage and decor, they are said to represent good health and good luck. I say, get the canvas. It is easier to dust.
