The Pony Express was a delivery service in the United States from 1860-1861. It was short lived, but at the time, it was the fastest messenger service. Delivering letters from the east to west coast in 10 days. Carriers would ride horses from their post to the next, and the following carrier would immediately head out with the letters in a relay style.  After only a little more than a year of operation, the telegram started being used and rendered this service obsolete.  I’d sure love to receive my correspondences from a messenger on horseback. This set of being sold as a pair. In great condition, with a molded plastic frame on both and hanging wire already installed. The image is on the glass, and behind there is gold foil as an inset decorative feature. Each measure 23”x18.5”. ***We are located in Philadelphia and offer free pickup on this item.
