Bondoc is a large, weathered stony iron meteorite found in the Philippines jungle in 1956. The rock was actually known about for many years but it wasn't until 1959 that famous scientist/meteorite hunter, Harvey Nininger, recognized the mass as a meteorite and eventually brought the 1,955 lb. stone back to Sedona, Arizona. Bondoc is extremely unique because it is a mesosiderite that not only has the typical minerals and metals, but it has large metal nodules set in a silicate and olivine-rich matrix. Size: .5 x .38 x .31 inches
