Silk chiffon scarf embellished with Swarovski crystals

DBD  X BDB Designed by Dana NOT Been Done Before This 9"x27" rectangular silk scarf is a beautiful robin's egg aqua blue crinkle silk chiffon with details hand sewn in metallic thread. The video shows how I pull 1 thread across the width of the fabric then cut along that line to get perfect 90 degree cuts. 100% silk chiffon is shear, lightweight, very soft to the touch and flows breezily with your movements. This is how I made it:First I cut perfectly straight perpendicular cuts using a fool proof time-consuming technique then hand finish the edges. I use contrasting thread to edge the scarf to enhance the handmade quality of the piece. Next I hand stitched the design details using contrasting metallic thread colors of Sapphire Blue on 1 end and Peacock Teal Blue on the other end. This is a very tedious process and well worth it for the effect! Care: Hand wash in lukewarm water with a little liquid soap and lay flat on a towel to dry.
