Buhera Basket Medium

These are handwoven by women in the Buhera region, in southeastern Zimbabwe. Traditional Buhera Baskets are hand woven out of local grasses that are super durable and meant to last a long time, because they were used to store and carry grains. Each Buhera Basket is individually handmade and vary in size, natural shading and shape, giving each basket its unique character. Because their shapes aren't completely standard, they are measured by contour, starting at the bottom to the edge of opening at the top. Please see chart for approximate sizing.
