Mozart - Non Piu Andrai for Wind Quintet

DESCRIPTIONMozart's 'Non più andrai' from The Marriage Figaro, K. 492 is an aria for bass when Figaro teases Cherubino about his enlistment into the Spartan military. The chirpy and vivacious aria soon gives way to a stirring march-like military song, a prelude to his military life.This aria works particular well on the wind quintet. Though limited to five players, the Wind Quintet should think of themselves as a Wind Ensemble to achieve a fuller sound. The french horn is put to good use to strengthen this effect. Enjoy!
