Mah Jong is a universally-loved game – enjoyed worldwide.   The first known Mah Jong set likely appeared in the 19th century – probably around 1870.  The game is comprised of 144 tiles depicting calligraphy and symbolism.  The complex rules revolve around drawing and discarding tiles.
