Our Series FS6402 Straight Male ORFS x Female JIC swivel hydraulic adapters provide secure, leak-proof connections for hydraulic systems. ORFS (O-ring Face Seal) fittings feature an O-ring seated in a groove on the face of the fitting, creating an elastomeric seal when compressed between the male fitting and the flat face of the mating component, ensuring a tight, leak-free connection. These adapters are made to SAE J1453 standards and commonly use Buna-N or Viton O-rings, ideal for high-pressure systems. On the other hand, JIC (Joint Industry Council) fittings, with a 37-degree flare seating surface and parallel threads, establish a mechanical seal by mating the male flared fitting with the female coned seat. Together, these components combine the best of both sealing methods, offering reliable and efficient connections for fluid power systems.
