Made by hand, olive wood mortars & pestles are ideal for crushing herbs and spices. The olive wood is an extremely hard surface that can sustain the force of grinding and mashing. These are generously-sized, measuring approx. 3.5" x 6". Olive wood is a nonporous wood, making it a great wood for use with food, as it doesn't retain germs or odor. Our olive wood products come from Tunisia, where the folks who run the company are originally from.
