The Hermle SALERNO Grandfather Clock is made from solid mahogany and veneer and finished in a distressed Wilton walnut. This is a clock inspired by the port city of Salerno in Italy, where an ancient castle stands over the sea. As such, the Hermle SALERNO is adorned with a shell crown overlay and cascading bonnet crown, along with carved column caps and fluted columns. The base contains floor levers, the tiers of which are elegantly accented. The case features glass on the front and side panels, and a lockable waist door. Finally, complementing the 8-day mechanical triple chime (Westminster, St. Michael and Whittington) movement is a matching set of antique accessories including a dial with applied brass Arabic numerals, a moving moon disk, and an ornate cast center, and corner spandrels.
