Undated signed poem by Archibald Rutledge printed to a note card with a black and white photo of Rutledge's inspirational Hampton Plantation home as the header. The card measures 5 1/2-inches by 3 1/2-inches. Archibald Rutledge was the first South Carolina poet laureate appointed by Gov. Ibra Charles Blackwood in 1934. He held the post until his death in 1973.
