Care and Maintenance GENERAL INFORMATION: Fritz Hansen uses a variety of wood species, mainly oak, maple, beech, cherry, teak and ash, each with their own natural characteristics in terms of colour, grain and hardness. Our wood is sourced responsibly in the highest quality, without defects including knots, sap or cracks.Untreated wood shows the wood in its purest form. The wood is sanded only, giving it a smooth look and feel. CARE & MAINTENANCE: As the wood is untreated, the surface will patinate and change colour over time into a beautiful silvery grey.
