For vehicles that do not have an easy way to connect to a low-voltage RPM signal, this inductive signal converter can be clamped directly to a spark plug wire. The AIM pickup translates the pulses into a square wave signal readable by the AIM dash. Also necessary on vehicles with odd cylinder numbers which AIM cannot decode.
