Live Edge Ebony Chair

OC40     Ebonized walnut with oil  15 x 16 x 35"  One of a kind  This chair started out as an almost-finished table - a long piece of black walnut, cut and assembled with a mitered waterfall leg.  For various reasons it wasn't able to be used for its original purpose, and sat around the shop for a few years waiting for a new direction. We decided to cut it and rework it into this simple chair, leaving the double live edges and a waterfall leg front and center.  The ebonized finish makes the piece simultaneously dramatic and understated.
