"Threshold" Earth Pigment Print

This print was created with earth pigments which is a process of foraging for rocks and organic materials and grinding them into a fine dust using a mortar and pestle. I then mixed the pigments with my own recipe to make block printing ink, giving each print a unique, earthy texture. The design was carved by hand into linoleum and printed with a press. This particular print contains pigments made from sandstone and burn scar ash, chosen to echo the fiery theme of the image. 9x12" linoleum block print Because of the earth pigment process, each print is one of a kind and may have slight variations from the one pictured, adding to its character and authenticity.
