Introduction to Wax Carving : 7/26 & 8/2 3PM-6PM

In this two-session introductory workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of wax carving, as well as sanding, polishing, and finishing techniques in metal. In the first session, you will carve your ring in green carving wax and learn various methods for sculpting and manipulating your wax, which will then be sent to a third-party metal casting house for casting. In the second session, you will learn how to sand and polish your metal ring to completion. This class is designed for beginners, and no prior experience with jewelry making is required. It will take place in person at our Spring Street studio in downtown Los Angeles. The studio’s address will be sent via email after purchase.  All tools and materials will be provided, and the price includes one casting in your choice of silver or bronze for up to 8 grams of metal.
