Bluesound Powernode
Description Like the Node, the Bluesound PowerNode allows you to play any digital music you want, including high-res files up to 32-bit/384kHz to your passive speakers. You have the option of playing audio/music files off of your computer or a networked hard drive. For me, I’m using it to play music off of Tidal’s Hi-Fi plan, but you can use any streaming service you want. The one difference between the Node and the PowerNode is that it (the PN) adds an 80w x 2 (8 Ohms) amplifier to power your passive speakers. You can use the PowerNode with both Dynaudio speakers or the PSB P3/P5 bookshelf speakers. The only speakers you wouldn’t use this with are the AM3/AM5 because they are self-powered. Also note, this is designed for a simple 2.1-channel audio setup. I have a hardwired connection in my garage using CAT 6, so that’s the setup I’d suggest doing. The PowerNode also uses dual-band W-Fi to ensure a stable connection to your router and other Bluesound components, which will function ju
