Leather Loopback Leash with Bleed Knot Handle

This beautiful leather leash was handcrafted from a vintage leather Western loopback rein. Loopback reins are rare to find these days, as loopback rein attachments have been mostly replaced by conchos, water loops, slobber straps, and lacing. This leash has a solid brass Weaver Leather scissor snap, and we put a bleed knot in the handle end. The bleed knot end is tacked down with a traditional saddle stitch.   The leather is a lovely red-brown color and is soft and supple with a great broken-in feel. Length: Approx. 53" (4' 5 " ) from the end of the snap to the end of the handle. Width: 5/8" Oak Rock Ranch leather items are made from vintage horse tack. Our products may have wrinkles, scratches, discolorations, or minor surface cracks that are characteristic of used leather.
