A little of this goes a long way. This is not the type of metal powder used for "cold cast" metal (added to a liquid resin which can then be polished like actual metal). Those are round shaped particles and are very heavy. A pound of those would probably occupy 10% of the volume of a pound of these flakes, which are very fine, light, and fluffy. But this is not as light as another type of fine metal flake which is made from aluminum. This is made from bronze, which is much heavier. Bronze is traditionally made of 80 to 90 percent copper and the rest tin (brass which is similar traditionally has zinc substituted for the tin). The copper in bronze is what makes it so heavy and also more expensive than aluminum....(see more)
