Rain Out

Add an element of unexpected to your living room. The stark contrast of black streaks over pastel metallics adds interest to your space. The melding of the two opposing mediums creates intrigue and draws the eye into the details in my mixed media original work, Rain Out. The Art Story Life does not happen as we plan it. Even the normal day to day carries the little adjustments of expectations. At times almost imperceptible as we transition and rearrange plans in a day. It was this concept that I wanted to hone in on for this painting. Pairs well with Flower Garden. All of my recent art has focused around expressing emotion, but in this series in particular I isolated individual emotions and put color, shape and texture to them. Challenging myself to paint 100 emotions #painting100emotions, I've selected my favorites for the North Studio shop. North Studio's mission is to create art that guides.
