Extra Large Raku Vase, 2001

Thrilled to share the news that scientists have discovered a new planet in our galaxy! Behold, planet Raku. The colors in this XL raku vase, made and signed by artist Scott North in 2001, are insanely good. I see dark brown, rust, burgundy, burnt orange, copper, bronze, taupe, light and dark green and a teeny hint of periwinkle. The finish looks like gases swirling around a planet that is capped with a bright gold halo. 11” x 11” with a 3” opening  You could stare at this other-worldly wonder while dropping into a self-induced hypnotic trance.
