Item Details OMC 985400 / 0985400 Cobra Transom Plate Gimbal Housing Assembly (1988) 913261 (Stamped) 985400 / 0985400 / 986717 / 0986717 (Related & Superseded Part numbers) This is a 1988-style Housing (Steering Lever Cap is separate from the top cover) but can replace the 1986-1987 housings as a whole assembly. However, 1989 models typically had their own special housing that used exhaust pipes specific to 1989 models, but I know all of the 1986-1989 models supersede to the same 986717 number so I assume there has to be a degree of interchangeability as the exhaust flange is the same shape & bolt pattern.
