Removed from a 1979 Mercury Outboard 140hp (S/N 552993) - Inline 6 cylinder 2Stroke Part #'s Lower Gearcase Assembly 1655-7333A24 (Long Shaft) Related Gearcase numbers (Not related to shaft length) 1655-7333A45 / 1655-7333T24 / 1655-7332 (Stamped) Compatibility Generally Found on 4 & 6-cylinder Mercury / Mariner Outboards 1978-1985 75hp 4cyl 80hp 4cyl 85hp 4cyl 90hp 6cyl 115hp 6cyl 140hp 6cyl Please Check parts manual or send me your serial number to ensure comaptibility. I belive this can be use to replace some of the 1973-1977 gearcases, it's just of newer styling. I'm not entirely sure though. Item Condition and Notes: Good Working Condition Shaft Measures Roughly 20-3/4" From the top of the Water Pump housing to the tip of the drive shaft.....
