Astrophytum myriostigma cv. Hakujo Fukuryu is a striking cactus cultivar with cultural significance in Japanese horticulture. This variety is the result of crossbreeding between two notable Japanese cultivars: Astrophytum myriostigma cv. Hakujo and Astrophytum myriostigma cv. Fukuryu. The combination of these parent plants produces a cactus with distinctive features: a soft, felt-like texture along the areoles and a surface adorned with irregular, raised "warts." The plant maintains the characteristic three to seven vertical ribs typical of Astrophytum myriostigma, which are pronounced when the cactus is young.
