Masoud, an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Clemson University, is spearheading a project that has a series of experiments on track to blast off to the International Space Station. The experiments focus on Marangoni propulsion—changes in surface tension that propel objects forward. Articles and long reading passages of recent news stories for middle and high school students in grades 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Includes literacy strategies and graphic organizers to support struggling readers. Also great for independent readers or gifted learners to use during enrichment time.
