It's printed on premium newsprint using soy based inks, this means that you can expect a small about of smudge when you handle it (just like newspaper inks would come off a bit on your hands.) This smudge washes right off, and it's a small price to pay for this gift-wrap being 100% recyclable and backyard compostable. Newsprint is one of the most easily recyclable products (with over 73% of being recovered and recycled in the US.)
