Wee Bit Giddy® Bigleaf Hydrangea

Developed as an improvement to the City Line series of hydrangeas, Wee Bit Giddy is a reblooming hydrangea with multihued flowers depending on the PH balance of your soil. Large panicles of pink/red to purple blooms cover this plant from early summer to fall. With proper soil addaments a striking mix of colors can be achieved. Although beautiful these hydranges were hybridized with toughness in mind. As a result they combine the toughness of the Let's Dance series with the full mopheads of cityline. They are an excellent choice for garden beds and foundation plantings. We haven't yet tried them oursevles, but based on trials we expect them to droop less in sites with full sun than other macrophylla varieties. Makes great cut flowers and blooms virtually all summer without deadheading. They also add interesting fall and winter texture to the garden if the panicles are left uncut.
