Tricyrtis formosana Autumn Glow
This little shade loving perennial is cute and easily grown. It is a great starter plant for those new to gardening, but also well loved by experienced gardeners for it's appearance and easy habit. Toad lily emerges in mid-spring growing stalks of cascading green/yellow leaves. While Autumn Glow is prized among cultivars for the width and strength of its variegated margins. It has pink/purple orchid-like flowers that emerge in late-summer and persist until early fall, making it a great option to add color in a late season shade garden. This plant thrives in shade. It looks great in mass plantings, spread throughout a hardscape or with trees in the shade. The height really helps it accent fences retaining walls or hardscape decorations like wagons and benches.
