Coreopsis 'Hot Paprika' - Tickseed
Coreopsis or tickseed is an excellent plant for any garden because it is easy to grow and also packs a big punch. This little native is great for those looking to bring more native plants back to the yard, but it is as beautiful as anything else you’ll find. Starting in late spring/early summer the small flowers on Coreopsis start coming and then they keep coming and coming and coming in large flushes until the end of the growing season with no need for deadheading. This particular variety is very unique in that the flowers are a hot red with inlays of orange during the hottest part of the growing season. Coming in a little over foot tall and two feet wide, this is a space saving cultivar that is at home in both the front to middle of a garden bed, or in a container - thanks to its ability to tolerate dry hot conditions. They are perfect for anywhere you need extra space like container gardens, window plantings and rock gardens, but bold enough to fit into a larger planting scheme. Pa
