 Friends in Their Hearts is a short poem of friendship, loss and the power of the heart.  This 12 page mini book tells the story of two friends who share a bond that time can not break and what happens after they pass on.   Friends in Their Hearts Kimmy and Jimmy played in the yard.   Kimmy stayed close and Jimmy ran far. Together they ate and slept under stars.   Kimmy and Jimmy were friends in their hearts. Jimmy got sick and eventually died.   Kimmy was sad and didn't understand why. Alone she ate and alone she cried.  Kimmy missed Jimmy as she stared at the sky. In a dream she saw Jim as a glimmer of light.   Her friend was alive as a star in the night. She knew he was there as this beautiful sight.   She knew in her heart that it was alright. Kimmy grew old and eventually died.   She joined her friend Jim and again she cried.
