Sunflower

Enjoy the rays of sun!  Sunflowers are such a cheerful flower that bloom mid to late summer and last into fall. All pottery is hand-thrown. Individually decorated and glazed. Surface design is painted in reverse with velvet underglaze, transferred to a leather hard mug that has a base slip color. Designs are then subtracted from the surface with various tools, carving away to enhance the painting & showcase the raw clay. Speckled stoneware: cream in color with flecks of black  Cone 6, food safe glaze, AP label Appr. 4.25" high x 3" wide Capacity approx. 10oz.
